Business Failure Club - Why?
From Dr. Tricia –
Ultimately, I’m trying to meet a need. This is the need that I see among people with High Achieving personalities. Those with High Achieving personalities are used to getting it right. They have high expectations of others, but even higher expectations of themselves.
Thus, while concepts like, “failing fast” and “failure as a symptom of success” are logically available, failures still feel emotionally demoralizing.
For this reason, High Achiever owners and executives feel unnecessary shame. The negative emotion and second-guessing takes up emotional bandwidth and sucks energy away from moving forward.
Further, I’ve always been a fan of vicarious learning. What better way to save time than to experiment together and share learning together versus each of us going it on our own?
Last, when I assess my own successes and those of my clients, the common denominator is the willingness to fail. I want to help us optimize failure so that we can build success faster.
Who Is The Failure Club Right For?
1. You’re still growing and experimenting.
2. You own a business or are a CEO who runs a business. Solopreneurs are welcome.
3. You’re willing to share. This group is not for the faint of heart. It’s not “watch and learn.” Dr. Tricia will absolutely ensure that it feels safe; no bystanders allowed.
4. You care more about winning the long game than flash-in-the-pan successes.
5. You are both smart and humble.
This Group Will Fit for You If
1. You are open-minded to learning.
2. You understand that people have different perceptions of failure. Some fails are small, and some are epic. The emotional response is typically not linearly correlated with observable impact.
